  • 226, The Wine Advocate - 31st Aug 2016 -Luis Gutiérrez: 92 pts - "Not far off from the phenomenal 2010, the 2011 Reserva was cropped from a much warmer and riper vintage and it shows. This is the cuvée that represents the house style and wants to showcase the landscape of their estate, blending grapes from their 108 hectares of vineyards located at altitudes ranging from 550 to 800 meters altitude, with vines aged between 35 and 80 years. It's mostly Tempranillo with some Garnacha and Graciano, fermented with natural yeasts and aged in barrel for some 16 months before being bottled. There are aromas of damson plums and plenty of spices, quite ripe and heady, a little cooked. The palate is lush and round with abundant, dusty tannins. This is a powerful vintage. 300,000 bottles produced.."

  • Guía Peñin 2018: 93 pts - "Color: Cherry, maroon rim. Aroma: ripe fruit, spicy, creamy oak, complex. Palate: tasty, toasted, ripe tannins. " /ms>

  • Other information of interest: The Origin of the Farm Remelluri it is lost in the night of times. A necropolis in the center of the estate indicates the existence of a village as early as the tenth century. It tells us about the Alava count "Erramel", founder of "Erramelluri", high medieval historical toponym. In this place, surrounded by our oldest vineyards, carved into the rock is an ancient wine press, surely constituting one of the oldest wine vestiges of La Rioja. In the fourteenth century, Jerónimos monks settled on these lands, creating a monastic farm, which becomes dependent on the sanctuary of Toloño, located on the summit of this mountain. The crops of the farm, protected from winds and frosts, enjoy an exceptional microclimate. In its surroundings, vestiges of prehistoric, Roman, Visigothic, Arab and finally medieval populations, tell us about an agricultural activity since ancient times. The monks left the place in the fifteenth century; the santuarior it is maintained with hermits who worship until well into the nineteenth century. The farm and the monastery are dependent on the Real Divisa, a communal entity of which all the villages around Toloño are part. They manage the agricultural lands of the farm, attending with their fruits the important mass of pilgrims who from all places came to pray to the sanctuary. The oldest account book preserved in the Town Hall of Labastida, dated in 1596, already reviews every year and until the last century the contribution of wine in jars from the Farm Nuestra Señora de Remelluri. 1837, in the first civil war the sanctuary is burned down by the liberal troops
