Matarromera Reserve (Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero) comes from the vineyards that the winery owns in Olive groves of Duero. The grape variety Tempranillo with which Matarromera Reserva is made, it is carefully selected with extreme care. The red wine resulting from such a process is complex, silky and very elegant. The aging in American and French oak barrels it takes place during 18 months. After two years in the bottle, the wine will be ready to satisfy the most demanding.

PAIRING: It is a perfect wine to accompany all kinds of meat, ideal for barbecue, even with spicy dishes. Also the blue fish they are perfect companions for this red.

Wine

It shows the care and detail with which Matarromera does barrel aging and bottle aging. The tempranillo grape with which it is made is pampered from the moment it is born on the vine until it reaches the winery. During the alcoholic fermentation, the elegant strength that the Matarromera Reserva 2013 has in the mouth is extracted with the delestage technique. Matarromera Reserva 2013 is aged under these natural conditions in 225-liter American oak barrels from Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota. They are new, fine-grained and medium-toasted barrels with a capacity of 225 liters. Red wine made with 100% tempranillo grapes and aged for 18 months in American and French oak barrels. Intense and high layer of amorphous tones with slight cherry edging. In olfactory phase, elegant, intense and very complex. Sour black fruit, cherry, blackberry and currant, among more mature black fruit such as blackberry, in harmony with complex aging tones, spicy cloves and black pepper, noble woods, fine roasted, licorice and black cocoa, with a mineral touch. Good structure with intense sweet tannin skeleton. Excellent complexity of flavors with ripe black fruit, balsamic sensations of aromatic plants, roasted new wood, sweet lactones and spices of pepper and licorice. Velvety, long and very elegant finish.
