Hacienda Lopez de Haro Crianza it is a red wine from the D.O. Rioja prepared by Bodega Classica, a winery belonging to the Vintae Group, located on the slopes of San Vicente de la Sonsierra. The climate in this area is moderate continental, marked by a Cantabrian influence.
Hacienda Lopez de Haro Crianza he has received a lot of praise from Robert Parker's men in Spain. According to Neil Martin, this is "a contemporary classic" and, for Luis Gutiérrez, "at this level of quality, this wine has a laughable price".
This wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta and Graciano coming from the winery's own old vineyards planted at 380-500 meters above sea level.
As for the elaboration, a fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature of 28ºC and, subsequently, a maceration for two weeks.
Finally, the wine goes through an aging of between 12-14 months in 50% French oak and 50% American oak barrels and rests in the bottle, 10-12 more months before its commercialization.
A wine with an excellent quality-pleasure-price ratio.
